Poverty in India

If you Google 'India poverty limit' the first link probably you would get is Wikipedia where you will get the quote “Poverty is widespread in India, with the nation estimated to have a third of the world's poor. According to a 2005 World Bank estimate, 41.6% of the total Indian population falls below the international poverty line of US$ 1.25 a day (PPP, in nominal terms Rs 21.6 a day in urban areas and Rs 14.3 in rural areas).”

Today (2-10-2011) we celebrated Mahatma Gandhi’s birthday. Hopefully the in the years to come we will be free of correption and underprivileged would be truly free and rose to deserving level with Mahatma's blessings for India.
