Lessons from "India at the Olympics 2012"
It is nice to see above Indians made the country proud bringing Olympics medal from 2012 event.
It was a common belief that “India cannot expect to win more medals when the country has a poor Human Development Index (HDI) and low Per Capita Income.” At the World scenario, competing in the Olympics is a big achievement. Straight away you can't win a gold medal, you have to go step by step," expressed by our sports minister. He also mentioned "This is India's best Olympics so far we have ever had. We have improved on all counts, By 2020 we can get 25 medals, and this is a achievable target. Out of it, it can be 5 or 10 golds. “ [Source ]
In spite of all these excuses and beliefs our winners made Indians happy through hard work and honest efforts.
Congratulations to all the Winners!

My favorite quotes
The ultimate measure of a man is
NOT
where he stands in the moments of comfort and convenience
BUT
where he stands at times of
challenge and controversy ..
-Martin Luther King .
“Thinking is Easy,
Acting is Difficult,
and
to PUT one’s "Thoughts into Action"
is
THE most difficult thing in the world”
-Gothe.

Honest Work and True Rewards
*** One Should Read This Everyday ****
The true rewards of HONEST work are
neither to be SEEN nor HANDLED,
They are NOT measured by a GOLD STANDARD
nor by any material result.
They are not acclaimed by the applause of the crowd.
They lie within you; in your own knowledge that
you have done your BEST! that you have
striven to reach your own STARDARD of
your HIGHEST Powers.
You will often perhaps always, fail to reach your own
IDEAL but comforted ideals are not for
attainment; but for pursuit!
- Lord Moynihan
"Blessed is the man who has some congenial work,
some occupation in which he can put his heart,
and which affords a complete outlet to
all the forces there are in him"
"Money cannot buy by second best. I have put
one quality of effort that is my best"
"God do not count result, but effort"
